Ask Meetings is semantic search across every meeting you have in IntelliPrompter. You ask a question in English. You get the moments that answer it. No keyword gymnastics. No scrubbing a transcript. You type what you want to know and the app finds it.
The dashboard search bar
Ask Meetings lives in the search bar at the top of the dashboard. Type a question, hit return, read the results. There is no separate page to open and no mode to flip on.
Questions that work well
- “What did Priya say about pricing last quarter?”
- “Which prospects asked about the SOC 2 timeline?”
- “Did we commit to anything on the Acme call last week?”
- “What objections keep coming up from mid-market buyers?”
A good question names a person, a topic, a company, or a time window. The more specific the prompt, the better the match.
What you get back
You get a ranked list of transcript moments. Each result shows:
- Meeting title. The call the moment came from.
- Date. When the meeting happened.
- Speaker. Who said it.
- The exact segment. The sentences that match.
Click a result and the review page opens at that exact timestamp. You land on the moment, not the top of the meeting.
How to ask well
Specifics beat generics. A name beats a role. A topic beats a category. A time window beats “ever”.
- Instead of “customer feedback,” try “what did Acme say about onboarding last month.”
- Instead of “pricing discussions,” try “which calls mentioned annual prepay discounts in Q3.”
- Instead of “hiring notes,” try “what did Sam flag as a concern in the staff engineer loop last week.”
Narrow the search
Open the filter tray next to the search bar to constrain the search. You can combine filters freely.
- Date range. Last week, last quarter, custom span.
- Meeting profile. Sales calls only, hiring loops only, 1:1s only.
- Speaker. Only moments where a given person spoke.
- Highlight tag. Only moments you tagged on the review page.
What is searchable
- Full transcripts of every stored meeting.
- Speaker labels, so a question about a person actually filters by person.
- Post-meeting summaries.
- Action items generated on the review page.
- Highlight tags you added by hand.
Everything is indexed locally on your machine. The index updates as soon as a meeting ends and the review page writes its outputs.
The search never leaves your laptop
Ask Meetings runs on-device. Your question, the index, and the results all stay local. There is no cloud call for the search itself. The feature works offline. If your laptop is in airplane mode on a train, Ask Meetings still answers.
What is not in the index
- Ephemeral meetings. A meeting run in Ephemeral mode is never stored, so it never appears in results.
- Self-only meetings. A meeting run in Self-only mode only has your side of the transcript in the index. Questions about what the other person said will come back empty for those calls.
- Deleted meetings. When you delete a meeting, it leaves the index immediately. The next search will not find it.
Where to go from here
- Privacy Modes. Which modes keep a meeting out of the index and why.
- Meeting Review. Where you land when you click a result. Tag highlights here to make future searches sharper.
- Knowledge Base. Add your own notes and docs for retrieval alongside your transcripts.
